Frequently asked questions

Do I need a server for Professional?

No. Professional runs entirely on a single Windows computer with a local SQLite database. No network or server setup is needed — install it and get started.

Is the range of functions limited compared with Enterprise?

The calibration scope is the same as in Enterprise — from master data management and the guided calibration process according to EURAMET cg-18 to the signed calibration certificate. Enterprise adds team functions: a central SQL Server database, job assignment to technicians, field service with change approval and branch management. Professional is the single workstation with a local database.

Who is Professional suitable for?

For self-employed calibration technicians and small laboratories that calibrate at one workstation and do not need a networked multi-user environment with field service.

Can I switch to Enterprise later?

Yes. If your needs grow to several workstations or offline-capable field service, you can move up to the Enterprise edition with a central SQL Server.

Try Professional — or compare editions

We will show you Professional in person, with no obligation. If you need several workstations or offline-capable field service, the Enterprise edition is the right choice.
